The Adobe Photoshop Lightroom 2 Book for Digital Photographers - by #1 bestselling computer and technology author, Scott Kelby - is the most complete and concise Lightroom "how-to" book for digital photographers of all skill levels....... Throughout the book Scott shares his personal camera and Lightroom settings, as well as the studio-tested techniques he's developed for his own photography workflow. The book is written in his trademark step-by-step, plain English style, and because he knows what really works and what doesn't, he isn't shy to tell you flat out which tools to use, which to avoid, and why. This allows digital photographers of any skill level to jump right in using Lightroom like a pro from the very start, sidestepping a lot of the frustrations that typically haunt those unfamiliar with new applications…especially those as powerful as Lightroom...... This is the book from which I, Lars Ekdahl, learned this program myself |
![]() Photoshop restoration and Retouching Photoshop Restoration and Retouching, 3nd Ed. by Katrin Eismann. This is the best reference for any retouching needs - be it restoring a scan of an ancient negative (her B&W techniques worked wonders on scans of a set of late 1800's glass plates I worked on) to making wholesale changes that would get you kicked out of any newsroom in the land. The book is also fun to read and work along with. Ms. Eismann's passion for both Photoshop and photography comes through on every page. ...there's a Photoshop CS chapter of 45 pages in PDF at: the digitalretouch.org. However if you are new to Photoshop this book is not one of the more easy to read as it does not start from a novice level. But if you really want to learn to master Photoshop this is one of the books you should own. Especially of you work with digital images, scanned or from your digital camera. I have all three editions and the last one, for CS2, I received from Amazon com end of august 2006 which shows how much I value this author and her books.
